Πρεμιέρα στο COSMOTE SERIES HD αμέσως μετά το εξωτερικό, το Σάββατο 11/1.
H μυθιστορηματική ιστορία του πρώτου Αμερικανού Πάπα Πάπα Πίου ΙΓ’, ή αλλιώς Λένι Μπελάρντο, έρχεται αποκλειστικά στην COSMOTE TV με το σίκουελ του The Young Pope, TheNewPope, δια χειρός Πάολο Σορεντίνο (Νιότη, Η τέλεια Ομορφιά). Η σειρά θα κάνει Α’ τηλεοπτική προβολή ταυτόχρονα στο COSMOTE SERIES HD και τη δωρεάν, on demand υπηρεσία COSMOTE TV PLUS αμέσως μετά την πρεμιέρα της στο εξωτερικό, το Σάββατο 11/1. To The New Pope θα προβάλλεται με διπλό επεισόδιο κάθε εβδομάδα, στις 22.00. Επίσης, μέσα από την υπηρεσία COSMOTE TV PLUS, οι τηλεθεατές έχουν τη δυνατότητα να παρακολουθήσουν από την αρχή, όλη την ιστορία του The Young Pope.

Στον νέο κύκλο επεισοδίων ο Τζουντ Λο επιστρέφει στον ρόλο του αντιφατικού Πάπα, του οποίου η εκλογή διατάραξε τον χώρο της Καθολικής Εκκλησίας. Στο καστ της σειράς προστίθεται ο Τζον Μάλκοβιτς, ο οποίος υποδύεται τον Σερ Τζον Μπράνοξ, έναν Άγγλο αριστοκράτη, πρώην μουσικό της πανκ και αντίπαλο δέος του Πάπα Πίου, καθώς όταν εκείνος πέφτει σε κώμα, καταλαμβάνει το αξίωμά του και γίνεται ο νέος Κύριος του Βατικανού.
