Ποιες εταιρείες βρίσκονται ψηλά στις προτιμήσεις των καταναλωτών για αγορά smartphone;
Πριν λίγες ημέρες η LG Electronics ανακοίνωσε την απόφασή της να αποσυρθεί από από την αγορά της κινητής τηλεφωνίας έως τις 31 Ιουλίου. Η Νιοτιοκορεάτικη εταιρεία εξήγησε ότι η έξοδός της από το «απίστευτα ανταγωνιστικό τομέα των smartphones» θα της επιτρέψει να εστιάσει σε τομείς ανάπτυξης όπως τα ηλεκτρικά οχήματα, τις συνδεδεμένες συσκευές, τα έξυπνα σπίτια, τη ρομποτική, την τεχνητή νοημοσύνη και τις λύσεις μεταξύ επιχειρήσεων, καθώς και πλατφόρμες και υπηρεσίες.
Τα τελευταία χρόνια η LG βρισκόταν ακόμη και μπροστά από το iPhone με το πρώτο της τηλέφωνο με οθόνη αφής, το LG Prada, το 2006. Με κινεζικές μάρκες όπως η Huawei και η Xiaomi να κερδίζουν γρήγορα δημοτικότητα εκτός της εγχώριας αγοράς τους, η LG είδε το μερίδιο αγοράς της να πέφτει σε χαμηλά μονοψήφια παγκοσμίως. Σύμφωνα με εκτιμήσεις της Counterpoint Research, η εταιρεία απέστειλε 24,7 εκατομμύρια συσκευές το 2020, κάτι που ισοδυναμεί με μερίδιο αγοράς μόλις 1,9%.

Vivo has become the latest smartphone maker to launch a 5G smartphone. The Chinese company on Thursday (22 August 2019) introduced the new iQoo Pro 5G Edition at a press event in China.
