Οι χώρες μέλη της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης συμφώνησαν στην επιβολή ενός 14ου πακέτου κυρώσεων κατά της Ρωσίας, σύμφωνα με διπλωματικές πηγές που επικαλείται το Reuters.
Οι κυρώσεις αυτές περιλαμβάνουν την απαγόρευση της μεταφόρτωσης ρωσικού υγροποιημένου φυσικού αερίου (LNG).
Το Βέλγιο, που ασκεί την προεδρία της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης έως την 1η Ιουλίου, δήλωσε ότι το νέο πακέτο κυρώσεων «μεγιστοποιεί τον αντίκτυπο των υφιστάμενων κυρώσεων κλείνοντας τα κενά».
