Νίκος Καλογιάννης

Νικόλαος Καλογιάννης είναι Διπλωματούχος Αεροναυπηγός Μηχανολόγος Μηχανικός του Εθνικού Μετσοβίου Πολυτεχνείου και κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού διπλώματος (MSc) στη Βιομηχανική Μηχανική και Μηχανική Συστημάτων από το Georgia Institute of Technology της Ατλάντα (ΗΠΑ). Για τις μεταπτυχιακές του σπουδές έλαβε υποτροφίες από τα Ιδρύματα Ε. Ευγενίδου και Α. Ωνάση.

Έχει μακρά εμπειρία στη διαχείριση μεγάλων προγραμμάτων αεροναυπηγικής, βιομηχανικής συνεργασίας και αμυντικών επενδύσεων. Εργάστηκε για πάνω από 10 χρόνια στην εταιρία Leonardo στην Ιταλία, όπου υπήρξε Διευθυντής Προγραμμάτων Ανάπτυξης και Παραγωγής του Εκπαιδευτικού Αεροσκάφους Μ-346. Επίσης, στην ίδια εταιρία, διετέλεσε Διευθυντής του προγράμματος παραγωγής Μαχητικών αεροσκαφών F-35, ενώ υπήρξε μέλος της επιτροπής ανάθεσης βιομηχανικού έργου και πιστοποίησης της Ιταλικής Αμυντικής Βιομηχανίας. Το 2017 εντάχθηκε στο δυναμικό του Oμίλου EFA GROUP λαμβάνοντας θέσεις ευθύνης στη διαχείριση προγραμμάτων, την ανάπτυξη επιχειρηματικών πρωτοβουλιών και των επενδύσεων στο χώρο της Άμυνας. Ο κ. Καλογιάννης διαθέτει γνώση της Αεροναυπηγικής και της Αμυντικής Βιομηχανίας και έχει συνεργαστεί με μεγάλες εταιρίες του χώρου στην Ελλάδα και στο Εξωτερικό. Από τον Ιούλιο του 2021 είναι ο Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της EFA VENTURES.

Mr. Nikos Kalogiannis is a member of Technical Chamber of Greece since 2003. He holds a Diploma in Aircraft Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (Greece) and an MSc in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta (USA). For his postgraduate studies he was awarded fellowships from E. Eugenides and A. Onassis foundations.

After completing his military obligations in 2005, he joined Alenia Aeronautica (Italy) where he started his career as a Project Engineer. In 2006 he joined the Program Management Department of C-130J as the Assistant Program Manager. In 2008, he moved to Alenia Aermacchi (Italy) working initially as Program Manager for the Industrial Collaboration Projects and Offsets and in 2009 he became the M-346 Aircraft Development Program Manager. He had a leading role in the development and the Type Certification of the M-346 Aircraft (Training and Fighter Versions) with focus on the Pilot Training Systems, Avionics and Mission Systems. In 2012, he was assigned the role of M-346 Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Program Manager for the delivery of Aircraft, Full Mission Simulators and Training Services, while after the successful completion of the deliveries in 2014, he became the Program Manager of the F-35 JSF Aircraft, responsible for the delivery of the Italian Air Force’s Aircraft and the Full Wing Assemblies to Lockheed Martin. As the PM of the F-35 JSF Program, he was a member of the Leonardo/Finmeccanica Management Committee for the definition of F-35 related Work Packages to the Italian Defense Industry.

In 2017, he joined Interoperability Systems International Hellas S.A. (now SCYTALYS) taking the role of Program Manager and he worked on many important Programs of the Company, including the upgrade of the P-3 HN Maritime Patrol Aircraft of the Hellenic Navy. In 2019, he was assigned the role of International Business Development and Marketing Manager and he worked on the preparation of tenders, the design of campaigns for new markets, the participations in International Exhibitions and the development of new products in the field of situational awareness. In January 2021, he joined EFA VENTURES as the Director of Operations and in July 2021 he became the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. In 2023 he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of UCANDRONE, while he is a Board Member of SCYTALYS and AETHER Aeronautics, which are EFA GROUP companies.

His field of expertise includes the management of complex Aircraft and Integrated Systems related projects, industrial participation activities and the development of new opportunities, combining efficiently the Business Competencies with the solid Program Management Background. He speaks English and Italian fluently.
