Ακυρώσεις πτήσεων την τελευταία στιγμή φέρνει η Όμικρον

Περίπου 200 πτήσεις ακυρώνουν την Παρασκευή, η United Airlines και η Delta Air Lines, μία μέρα πριν από τα Χριστούγεννα, λόγω ελλείψεων προσωπικού που συνδέονται με την απότομη αύξηση των κρουσμάτων Covid-19.
Περισσότερες από 100 πτήσεις ακυρώνει η United Airlines Holdings ενώ η Delta Air Lines έχει περικόψει περίπου 90.
Όπως μεταδίδει το Bloomberg, η United ανέφερε σε email την Πέμπτη ότι η αύξηση των κρουσμάτων της Ομικρον επηρεάζει τη διαθεσιμότητα των πληρωμάτων πτήσης και του προσωπικού εδάφους.
Η Delta είπε ότι οι ακυρώσεις της οφείλονται σε έναν συνδυασμό λόγων, συμπεριλαμβανομένων, ενδεικτικά, των δυνητικά κακών καιρικών συνθηκών σε ορισμένα μέρη και των επιπτώσεων της Ομικρον.
