Travelers in cars and buses from all over Europe but mostly from Bulgaria, Romania, Czech Republic and Poland arrive at the Greek Bulgarian borders of Promahonas - Kulata, entering point in Greece for holidays and they are checked for Coronavirus. Greece lifted the travel ban since July 1 and relaunched the tourism season. Arriving tourists should carry the special Passenger Locator Form for each individual, a new required document to enter Greece for all the arriving people and the increased Covid-19 Coronavirus tests that are applied to most of the arriving cars, based on a special algorithm. Greece increased the testing capacity with the health crew of the National Public Health Organization EODY at the land borders. Greece will allow the entrance only to passengers with up to 72 hours prior to the arrival Covid-19 test with negative results in English from a certified laboratory. In August 2020 Greece is starting implementing new protective measures against the spread of the pandemic outbreak, as people relax and avoid the guidlines. Τα νέα εργαστηριακά επιβεβαιωμένα κρούσματα της νόσου που καταγράφηκαν τις τελευταίες 24 ώρες είναι 26.785, εκ των οποίων 21 εντοπίστηκαν κατόπιν ελέγχων στις πύλες εισόδου της χώρας. Ο συνολικός αριθμός των κρουσμάτων ανέρχεται σε 2.838.891, εκ των οποίων 49.2% άνδρες.

Με βάση τα επιβεβαιωμένα κρούσματα των τελευταίων 7 ημερών, 170 θεωρούνται σχετιζόμενα με ταξίδι από το εξωτερικό και 1.451 είναι σχετιζόμενα με ήδη γνωστό κρούσμα.

Το τελευταίο 24ωρο έγιναν συνολικά 441.683 τεστ, τα 33.898 μοριακά και τα 407.785 rapid. Στο σύνολο η θετικότητα φτάνει το 6,06 έναντι 22,57% χθες με μόνο 104 χιλιάδες τεστ.

Οι νέοι θάνατοι ασθενών με COVID-19 είναι 34, ενώ από την έναρξη της επιδημίας έχουν καταγραφεί συνολικά 27.029 θάνατοι. Το 95.2% είχε υποκείμενο νόσημα ή/και ηλικία 70 ετών και άνω.

Ο αριθμός των ασθενών που νοσηλεύονται διασωληνωμένοι είναι 342 (χθες 337). Η διάμεση ηλικία τους είναι 69 έτη. To 90.9% έχει υποκείμενο νόσημα ή/και ηλικία 70 ετών και άνω. Μεταξύ των ασθενών που νοσηλεύονται διασωληνωμένοι, 216 (63.16%) είναι ανεμβολίαστοι ή μερικώς εμβολιασμένοι και 126 (36.84%) είναι πλήρως εμβολιασμένοι. Από την αρχή της πανδημίας έχουν εξέλθει από τις ΜΕΘ 4.408 ασθενείς.

Οι εισαγωγές νέων ασθενών Covid-19 στα νοσοκομεία της επικράτειας είναι 334 (ημερήσια μεταβολή +10.23%). Ο μέσος όρος εισαγωγών του επταημέρου είναι 342 ασθενείς.
