Ο Ελον Μασκ έγραψε στο Twitter την Τρίτη: «Κατά τη διάρκεια των πιο σκοτεινών ημερών του προγράμματος Model 3, πλησίασα τον Τιμ Κουκ για να συζητήσω την πιθανότητα η Apple να αποκτήσει την Tesla (για το 1/10 της τρέχουσας αξίας μας). Αρνήθηκε να κάνει τη συνάντηση».
