Ο Ευρωπαϊκός Οργανισμός Φαρμάκων (EMA) ανακοίνωσε σήμερα ότι υπάρχει πιθανή σχέση ανάμεσα σε σπάνιες περιπτώσεις θρομβώσεων σε βαθιές φλέβες με το εμβόλιο της Johnson & Johnson κατά της Covid-19 και συνέστησε η πάθηση αυτή να περιληφθεί στις παρενέργειες του εμβολίου.
Ο EMA συνέστησε επίσης η ανοσολογική θρομβοπενία (ITP), μια αιμορραγική διαταραχή που προκαλείται από το γεγονός ότι το σώμα επιτίθεται από λάθος κατά των αιμοπεταλίων, να προστεθεί στις άγνωστης συχνότητας ανεπιθύμητες ενέργειες που περιέχονται στις πληροφορίες προϊόντος του εμβολίου της J&J και του εμβολίου της AstraZeneca.
