Η Boston Consulting Group παρουσίασε την ετήσια κατάταξή της με τις 50 πιο καινοτόμες εταιρείες στον κόσμο.
Η πανδημία COVID-19 ανέδειξε αναμφίβολα τη σημασία της καινοτομίας σε ταραγμένους καιρούς. Ενώ οι τεχνολογικοί γίγαντες των ΗΠΑ εξακολουθούν να μονοπωλούν την δεκάδα των πιο καινοτόμων επιχειρήσεων παγκοσμίως, αρκετές εταιρείες στον φαρμακευτικό τομέα περιλαμβάνονται επίσης στις κορυφαίες 50 φέτος.
Ο τομέας της τεχνολογίας και των τηλεπικοινωνιών έχει βρεθεί για πολλά συναπτά έτη μεταξύ των κορυφαίων εταιρειών στην κατάταξη από την πρώτη δημοσίευσή της το 2005. Ενώ οι καθιερωμένοι παίκτες στην τεχνολογία, όπως η Apple, η IBM ή η Microsoft, συνεχίζουν να διατηρούν τις θέσεις τους στην κορυφή της λίστας, νέοι παίκτες έχουν εμφανιστεί τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες.
