Πολύ επικίνδυνα τα επίπεδα μόλυνσης σε αυτές τις πόλεις.
Η ατμοσφαιρική ρύπανση προκαλεί περίπου 7 εκατομμύρια πρόωρους θανάτους κάθε χρόνο, σύμφωνα με τον Παγκόσμιο Οργανισμό Υγείας. Η πρόσφατη έκδοση του IQAir AirVisual 2020 «World Air Quality Report» διαπίστωσε ότι οι περισσότερες πόλεις με τη μεγαλύτερη ρύπανση στον κόσμο βρίσκονται στην Ινδία, αν και η πόλη που πλήττεται περισσότερο στον πλανήτη είναι στην πραγματικότητα η Κίνα.
