Η μόλυνση του αέρα αποτελεί σοβαρό πρόβλημα σε πολλά μέρη του πλανήτη και συνιστά σημαντικό κίνδυνο για τη δημόσια υγεία.
Η ατμοσφαιρική ρύπανση είναι μια από τις κύριες αιτίες θανάτου παγκοσμίως. Ποιες όμως πόλεις και χώρες είναι οι πιο μολυσμένες στον κόσμο; Η Smart Air ανέλυσε δεδομένα ατμοσφαιρικής ρύπανσης για το 2021 και το 2022 σε 529 μεγάλες πόλεις από 88 χώρες για να δημιουργήσει την κατάταξη του 2022 με τις «Πιο μολυσμένες πόλεις στον κόσμο».
Στην παρακάτω λίστα θα δούμε τις δέκα κορυφαίες, σε ποιες χώρες βρίσκονται, καθώς και τα ετήσια επίπεδα αερολυμάτων PM2,5, τα οποία δηλώνουν τα επίπεδα μόλυνσης. Το συνιστώμενο ετήσιο όριο του ΠΟΥ είναι στα 5 microns.
