Φωτογραφίες από κάθε γωνιά του πλανήτη, φανερώνουν πώς ο νέος κορωνοϊός έχει μετατρέψει τον κόσμο σε μία απέραντη άδεια σκηνή.
Σήμερα, μια διαφορετική παγκόσμια καταστροφή έχει καταστήσει τον φόβο και την κοινωνική απόσταση, απαραίτητες προϋποθέσεις για την επιβίωση της ανθρωπότητας.
Ο νέος κορωνοϊός Covid-19 έχει ήδη αφήσει πίσω του χιλιάδες νεκρούς, ενώ ο φόβος για μια άνευ ελέγχου διάδοση του κινείται ως Δαμόκλειος σπάθη πάνω από το κεφάλι εκατομμυρίων ζωών.
Οι κάποτε πολυσύχναστες πλατείες, παραλίες, εκθεσιακοί χώροι, εστιατόρια, κινηματογραφικές αίθουσες, τουριστικά αξιοθέατα και σιδηροδρομικοί σταθμοί, έχουν παντού ερημώσει, καθώς κυβερνήσεις σε όλον τον κόσμο θωρακίζονται απέναντι στον φονικό ιό, θέτοντας κάθε μέρα νέα δεδομένα στην καθημερινότητα εκατομμυρίων πολιτών, παίρνοντας μέτρα που παίζουν με την έννοια της δημοκρατίας, όπως η απαγόρευση κυκλοφορίας.
Όλες αυτές οι φωτογραφίες διηγούνται μια παρόμοια ιστορία, καθώς το μεγάλο κενό στην παγκόσμια σκηνή μοιάζει να μεγαλώνει ακριβώς όπως πολλαπλασιάζεται φονικός ιός. Οι δημόσιοι χώροι, σε κάθε γωνιά του πλανήτη μπροστά στην αόρατη απειλή του κορωνοϊού έχουν ερημώσει.
Το μεγάλο κενό που αποτυπώνεται μέσα από αυτές τις φωτογραφίες, μια αναγκαιότητα για την προστασία της δημόσιας υγείας, φαντάζει δυστοπικό, και μπορεί οι εικόνες να στοιχειώνουν τους θεατές, αλλά με κάποιο τρόπο στέλνουν ταυτόχρονα κι ένα μήνυμα αισιοδοξίας, αφού μας υπενθυμίζουν ότι η ομορφιά απαιτεί ανθρώπινη αλληλεπίδραση και συνεργασία.
