Οι κάτοικοι της Γηραιάς Ηπείρου αντιμετωπίζουν με σκεπτικισμό την ασφάλεια των εμβολίων.
Ο Παγκόσμιος Οργανισμός Υγείας (ΠΟΥ) εκτιμά ότι κάθε χρόνο ο εμβολιασμός σώζει έως και 5 εκατομμύρια ζωές, με την πανδημία COVID-19 να γίνεται ένα σημαντικό παράδειγμα της αξίας των εμβολίων για την ανθρώπινη ζωή. Σύμφωνα με υπολογισμούς του ΠΟΥ, τουλάχιστον 20 εκατομμύρια ζωές σώθηκαν από τα καινοτόμα εμβόλια.
Και μπορεί ο εμβολιασμός να μην είναι κάτι καινούργιο και να θεωρείται ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα δώρα της επιστήμης στην ανθρωπότητα, όμως υπάρχει αρκετός κόσμος που δεν τον “βλέπει” με καλό μάτι.
Στην παρακάτω λίστα που βασίζεται σε έρευνα του Statista, υπογραμμίζεται πώς υπάρχει έλλειψη εμπιστοσύνης στην ασφάλεια των εμβολιασμών σε πολλές χώρες της Ευρώπης. Στην Αυστρία και τη Γαλλία, περίπου το ένα τέταρτο των ερωτηθέντων εξέφρασε αμφιβολίες για την ασφάλεια των εμβολιασμών, ενώ στη Γερμανία λίγο περισσότερο από έναν στους πέντε είπε το ίδιο. Σύμφωνα με αυτά τα στοιχεία, η εμπιστοσύνη στην ασφάλεια των εμβολίων είναι πιο έντονη στην Ισπανία και στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο.

Valneva Sweden AB is preparing to start production of their COVID-19 vaccine in Stockholm, Sweden, on February 16, 2021.
Valneva is a specialty vaccine company focused on prevention of infectious diseases. The caompany has commenced production of its inactivated, adjuvanted COVID-19 vaccine candidate in parallel to the ongoing clinical studies, in order to optimize the timeline for potential deliveries of the vaccine.
