Marina Petroleka

Marina Petroleka is Global Head of Industry Research for Fitch Solutions. She is based in Fitch Solution’s London office where she leads ten teams of more than 65 senior industry analysts, based in Fitch’s offices in London, Singapore, New York and Johannesburg. Fitch Solutions is a leading global provider of credit, industry, macroeconomic and political risk analytics and research.

Her expertise cuts across the different industries she manages. Her primary role involves providing strategic guidance and fostering thought-leadership across the different areas of industry research. She has led major research projects on Industry Megatrends, Sustainability and Industry Investment Attractiveness models.  She is also responsible for ensuring there is coherence between global macroeconomic, political risk and industry analysis and that Fitch Solutions’ forecasts and industry insights are consistently value added and ahead of the curve.

Prior to her current role, she lead BMI Research’s Energy and Infrastructure team and for nearly a decade her expertise has been in the energy sector, both the conventional and unconventional Oil & Gas sectors, as well as infrastructure development policy in North America, Europe, Africa, China and the Middle East.

Marina regularly provides expert commentary on major news outlets such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Wall Street Journal, CNBC and the BBC as well as speaking in leading energy industry events in London and internationally. She frequently publishes op-eds and analysis in global energy matters for industry publications.

Prior to joining Fitch Solutions (then BMI Research) in 2007, Marina interned at the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation in Istanbul; the Ministry of Merchant Marine in Athens; and the Office of the Political Advisor to the Commander, NATO HQ, Brunssum, Netherlands.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in War Studies, and an M.A. in International Security and Development, both from King’s College, University of London.

She is Head of London for the Greek Energy Forum and is a Research Associate at the European Centre for Energy and Research Security (EUCERS), part of King’s College London.

Η Μαρίνα Πετρολέκα είναι Επικεφαλής Διεθνών Βιομηχανικών Ερευνών (Global Head of Industry Research) στην Fitch Solutions, μέλος του ομίλου Fitch.

Προΐσταται 65μελούς ομάδος αναλυτών στο Λονδίνο, Σιγκαπούρη,  Γιοχάνεσμπουργκ  και Νέα Υόρκη,  με εξειδίκευση σε βασικούς κλάδους της μεταποίησης  όπως, υποδομές/κατασκευές, αυτοκινητοβιομηχανία, ενέργεια/κλιματική αλλαγή,  υδρογονάνθρακες, φαρμακοβιομηχανία, τροφίμων και τηλεπικοινωνίες/ΙοΤ.

Έχει δε η ίδια πολυετή και ιδιαίτερη εξειδίκευση στην ανάλυση και τις προβλέψεις στους τομείς της ενέργειας και των υποδομών, εστιασμένες στις οικονομίες της Βόρειας Αμερικής , Αφρικής, Κίνας και Ανατολικής Μεσογείου.

Εντάχθηκε στη BMI Research το 2007 στην ομάδα ανάλυσης παγκόσμιων υποδομών και έκτοτε έχει διατελέσει Επικεφαλής Ερευνών Κατασκευαστικού Κλάδου και Επικεφαλής Ερευνών Ενεργειακού Κλάδου.

Η Μαρίνα παρέχει τακτικά σχόλια σε σημαντικούς οργανισμούς Τύπου και ΜΜΕ, όπως το Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, China Daily, Reuters, CNBC και το BBC, ενώ είναι ομιλήτρια σε κορυφαίες εκδηλώσεις της βιομηχανίας ενέργειας στο Λονδίνο και διεθνώς. Αρθρογραφεί δε συχνά op-eds και ανάλυση γιά διεθνή ενεργειακά ζητήματα, σε εξιδικευμένα (ηλεκτρονικά) έντυπα του κλάδου.

Είναι απόφοιτος του King’s College/Πανεπιστημίου του Λονδίνου όπου έχει ολοκληρώσει Master’s σε Conflict, Security and Development και Bachelor’s σε War Studies.
