Πασχάλης Αποστολίδης

Γεννημένος στη Θεσσαλονίκη το 1955, ο κ. Πασχάλης Αποστολίδης έχει σπουδάσει Χημεία (B.Sc), Οικονομική Γεωγραφία (B.A.) και Φαρμακευτική Χημεία (Grad. Diploma) στον Καναδά. Συνεχίζει και ολοκληρώνει τις μεταπτυχιακές του σπουδές στον τομέα της Περιβαντολλογικής Χημείας (MSc), στο Τμήμα Χημικών Μηχανικών του Πανεπιστημίου Stratchlyde της Γλασκώβης, Σκωτία. Μιλάει δύο γλώσσες, Αγγλικά και Γερμανικά. Είναι παντρεμένος και έχει 2 παιδιά.

Η επαγγελματική του σταδιοδρομία στην Abbott ξεκινά τον Σεπτέμβριο 1986 στον κλάδο Διαγνωστικών της Abbott στη Θεσσαλονίκη, όπου τελεί καθήκοντα Ιατρικού Επισκέπτη.  Σε διάστημα μόλις 2 χρόνων προάγεται στη θέση του Product Specialist στα γραφεία της Αθήνας και από το 1990 βρίσκεται στα κεντρικά του κλάδου Διαγνωστικών της Ευρώπης στο Delkenheim της Γερμανίας, όπου από διαφορετικές θέσεις κατέχει την ευθύνη για το χώρο της Ευρώπης στο μάρκετινγκ.  Κατά τη διετία 1996-1997 αναλαμβάνει καθήκοντα Marketing Director του κλάδου Διαγνωστικών Γερμανίας, ως πρώτος μη Γερμανός στη συγκεκριμένη θέση.

Η ανοδική πορεία συνεχίζεται. Από το 1997 μέχρι τον Ιανουάριο 2001 μετακινείται στο Φαρμακευτικό κλάδο (Abbott International) στα κεντρικά γραφεία της εταιρείας στο Abbott Park, Σικάγο, Ιλλινόϊ, ΗΠΑ, ως μέλος της Ευρωπαϊκής ηγετικής ομάδας (Αbbott International – European Headquarter Operations) με την ιδιότητα του Εμπορικού Διευθυντή Ευρώπης (Commercial Director Europe). 

Από το Φεβρουάριο 2001 μέχρι σήμερα κατέχει τη θέση του Διευθύνοντα Συμβούλου της εταιρείας Abbott Laboratories (Ελλάς) ΑΒΕΕ για την Ελλάδα και Κύπρο και ταυτόχρονα τη θέση του Προέδρου ή Αντιπροέδρου του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου της Abbott (Eλλάς).

Διετέλεσε Πρόεδρος του Συνδέσμου Φαρμακευτικών Επιχειρήσεων Ελλάδος (ΣΦΕΕ) από το 2015 έως το 2018.  Είναι μέλος της Φαρμακευτικής Επιτροπής του ΕλληνοΑμερικανικού Επιμελητηρίου (AMCHAM) και μέλος του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου. Επίσης είναι μέλος της Εκτελεστικής Επιτροπής τoυ PhRMA Innovation Forum (PIF). Τέλος, είναι μέλος του Executive Board of Trustees του σχολείου ACS (American Community Schools οf Athens).

Pascal Apostolides

President & General Manager, AbbVie Pharmaceuticals S.A

Born in Thessaloniki in 1955, Pascal Apostolides holds a BSc degree in Chemistry, a BA in Economic Geography and a post graduate degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada. He also received a MSc in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Stratchclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.  He speaks fluently two languages, besides Greek: English and German.  He is married and has two children.

His long career in Abbott starts in 1986 as Sales Representative in the Diagnostic Division Department in Thessaloniki. In only two years’ time he is appointed Project Manager in Athens and in 1990 he is promoted to the position of European Product Manager based in Abbott, Germany. During 1996-1997, he assumes the position of Marketing Director of Abbott Diagnostics Division in Germany, becoming the first non-German ever to hold the specific position. 

The successful course in Abbott continues further. From 1997 up to January 2001, Pascal Apostolides joins Abbott International Division at Abbott Park in Chicago, as Commercial Director Europe, with responsibilities for all pharmaceutical and medical products for the following European Countries: Germany, Italy, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Greece.

From February 2001 until present, Pascal Apostolides holds the position of General Manager of Abbott Laboratories (Hellas), as well as the position of President or Vice President  in Abbott Hellas Board of Directors.

He was also the President of the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE) for the term 2015-2018. Member of the Executive Committee of the Pharma Innovation Forum (PIF) as well as Member of the Pharma Committee of the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and member of the BoD.  Furthermore, he is a member of the Executive Board of Trustees/Treasurer of the American Community Schools of Athens (ACS).
